Donald D-Dog Evans, was born September 16th,1956 to the late Willie B. and Bettie L. Evans. Donald gained his wings at the age of 65, on February 19th, 2022.

Donald was a lifelong resident of Long Branch, New Jersey, and graduated from Long Branch High School in 1975. Donald was a well-known DJ in the area, earning the name D-Dog Hola. He was a beloved member of his community, and well known for being a long-time employee of Richards Deli where he worked for over 40 years. His bright smile, infectious laugh, and kind words left an impact on those he encountered. Donald loved spending time with his family, and looked forward to BBQ’s, Atlantic City trips, and really enjoyed every holiday season.

Donald met the love of life, his wife, Teshara Evans in 1979. Together they built a family and raised 2 sons.

Donald was predeceased by his brother Willie Evans Jr., sister Dolores Evans Brown, brother-in-law Nathaniel Jones, sister-in-law Cynthia Blueford and mother-in-Law Clara Blueford.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Teshara Evans and sons Donald Evans Jr., Leonard Wade, and stepson Manny Blueford; grandchildren Ramira, Maniyya, and King Bass; his siblings Shirley Evans, Whiting, NJ, Willene Jones, Manchester, NJ, Steward Odyssey Mills, Neptune, NJ, Bettina Evans, Raytown, MO, Phyllis Evans, Red Bank, NJ, Winslow Evans (Pam), Blackwood, NJ, and in-laws Myron, Lannette, and Chanta Blueford of Long Branch, NJ as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and coworkers that he loved dearly.

D-Dog will truly be missed. Hola!
