Dorothy Louise Harris Woods Craddox, was born on June 25, 1957 in Palatka, Florida, to Emmett Woods Sr. and Myrtle Louis Harris-Woods.  She received her education from various high schools to include Morganville, Howell, Freehold completing her last 6 months and graduating from Lakewood High School.  Dorothy continued in advanced education from DeVry University, where she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Telecommunications.  She then went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Monmouth Bible Institute.

She was an Eastern Star.   She received her New Jersey and Florida state license in Cosmetology however, Dorothy did not stop there.  She sought to further her educational knowledge to pursue a Masters in Theology while simultaneously receiving training in Foreign Exchange Markets and Cryptocurrency Trading, before her untimely illness.  Dorothy believed that knowledge is power, education is a liberator, but wisdom and understanding is greater than them all.  However, it is all for nothing without God, who is the giver of all good and perfect gifts.

Dorothy was employed at Brockway Glass Company, Freehold, NJ, Ft. Monmouth Army Base, Ft. Monmouth, NJ, and various Beauty Salons before branching out on her own to become a self-employed hair stylist.  Lastly she was employed at Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center.  She also founded the female singing group Four By Faith.  Dorothy had an extraordinary magnetic personality, though reserved in her personal affairs, she was the life of any gathering.  She hosted and frequented many hair stylist exhibits, fashion shows and expos.  Dorothy had an extremely caring and loving nature, of which even past hurts and offenses never stopped her from being honest and loyal with everyone she genuinely loved and cared about.

She is predeceased by her parents Myrtle Green, Emmett Woods Sr., her sister Kathy D. Woods and her brothers Emmett Woods Jr. and Clifford Brown.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her 2 children Kedron French, Charlotte, NC, SaRaya L. Woods of Charlotte, NC; 6 brothers Leonard Woods (Rochelle, Bowie MD), Brick, NJ; Lindsey Woods, Lakewood, NJ; Christopher R. Green (Shirelle), Duluth, GA; David & Emmett Smith, Wyandanch, NY and Alex Kelly, Freehold, NJ; 4 sisters Barbara G.
