Gordon R. Platts departed this life on April 22, 2020. He was born to the late Willie Mack Platts and Jeanette Platts. He attended the Long Branch Public School System.
Gordon (Ricky) was a painter who took pride in his work, a football coach for the LB Youth Program and a proud father. He was his nephews biggest supporter and never missed a football game until falling ill.
He was predeceased by his father Willie Mack Platts, brothers Anthony Wright and Clifton Platts, sisters Delores, Jeanette and Joyce Platts.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Jeanette Platts; daughter Azariah Platts, brothers Oral, Stanley, Willie Jr. and Eric (Theresa) Platts; sisters Oriene and Allison Platts; his paternal aunt and uncle Crystal Rogers and Elliot Turner; a special niece Lucky (Gerald) Wiggins; a close friend Stanley Clark and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
