Gregory David Henson was born on October 5, 1946, in Long Branch, NJ.  He departed this life on December 4, 2022, at the young age of 76 years old.

Gregory warmly known as “Greg” or “Cujo” to some, had a love and passion for music which led him to become a member of the Doo Wop group, The Valtairs.  After graduating from Long Branch High School, he joined the United States Army and went on to serve in the Vietnam War.

He then came back to his home town of Long Branch where he worked at this father’s local bar better known as the “Tallyho” but then would move on to become a foreman for the New Jersey Natural Gas Company for the next 46 years.

He would ultimately retire and do what he enjoyed, which was playing his lottery (Pick It), and keeping his lawn beautifully manicured.

Gregory is pre-deceased by his parents, John and Marion Henson, his sister Cheryl (Cee Cee) Johnson.

He is survived by his daughters, Tyrese Henson, Tiffany Henson, Kyana Williams, Jennifer Rodriguez (Shawn) and Jessica Henson; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, his brother John Henson Jr. (Angela), his sisters, Robin Henson, Maris Henson, and Heather Harris (Edward) and a host of family and friends.

Gregory will truly be missed by many.  The family would like to express a sincere thank you for all the kind words and expressions of Love during this difficult time.
