Guy E. Davis, 50 of Keansburg (Red Bank) passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 18th with his loving wife and son by his side.

Guy was born on January 14, 1973, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, NJ he remained a life-long resident of New Jersey until the time of his passing.  He was the youngest of five children and the only boy.  Guy attended the Red Bank Public School System and received his High School Diploma in 1991.  He later became employed by the United States Postal Service and held the position as a mail carrier for 16 years at the Lincroft location.  He was loved and well respected by his co-workers and the Lincroft residents and business owners that he had the pleasure of delivering mail to everyday.  We have been told they were deeply saddened to hear of his passing and that he will be Greatly Missed.

On February 16, 1999, Guy met his soul mate and best friend Latoya (Toya) and from this union came one son Guydai "Doobie" Davis.  As a young child growing up in Montgomery Terrace "The Jets" he was affectionately known as Guy-Guy.  As a teenager Guy enjoyed watching Video Music Box & YO! MTV Raps, Deejaying & mixing beats.  Guy's lively and energetic personality will never be forgotten.

Guy is preceded in death by his father James M. Phillips in 2002; his mother Geneva Davis in 2020; two sisters Cheryl L. Davis in 2001 and Sonda L. McGary in 2022 and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories his loving and devoted wife Latoya of 24 years; one son Guydai (Doobie) Davis; two sisters Dawn Davis and Teena Davis; three uncles Gilbert Davis Sr. of NJ, William Phillips of NC and Mitchell White of AL; three aunts Vilma D. Lee of FL, Brenda D. Andrews of NJ and Roberta Tolbert of AL; two nieces Tikeisha (Rod) and Alecia; four nephews Dauvon (Christy), Ravyn (Cheronn), Bruce and Alvin Jr. "AJ;" fourteen grand nieces and nephews; eight great nieces and nephews; his father and mother-in-law Donald and Doris Harvey; two fathers-in-love Mr. Sylvester Cheatum "Pop Dukes" and Mr. Bob Farley "Farley;" two brother-in-laws Tujuane & Erron Smith; two brother- in-loves Mark “Mas” Porter (Amy) and Alvin Gutridge Sr.; and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
