John A. Jackson passed away on Friday August 6, 2021 at Hackensack Meridian Hospital, Hackensack, NJ. John was born July 15, 1958 at Fitkins Hospital, now JSUMC. John's parents were John W. Hayes and Yettie Foster Hayes. He attended Cathedral International Church, Asbury Park, NJ. While attending, he formed a special relationship with Pastor Denise Reid and Pastor Abraham Alston.
John attended the Neptune Township School System and graduated from Neptune High School in 1976. He went on to attend Kean University and Broadcasting School. Following college, he entered the work force working in the field of credit and collections. He worked for the Hess Corporation until he retired due to health conditions.
While in high school, John picked up the bass guitar and began playing with the local bands. After he got his fair share as a musician, he started DJing and commanded parties and clubs throughout New Jersey and New York. In his early years, he worked with Evelyn "Champagne" King and promoted one of Run DMC's first concerts that led him to being one of the producers for Divine sounds 1984 hit "What people do for money."
He later formed Quad 4 Promotions, where he managed and promoted several artist over the years. His current rising star artist, Aaron K. Gray, scored big with hits such as "Resting Place," "Ride Like The Wind," and "Jesus" produced by the likes of Mark Francis, DJ Spen, DJ Beloved, Thomas Davis, DJ Gomi, David Morales, and many others.
John is predeceased by his parents and nephew Tremell Harrison.
He is survived by his siblings Robert (Zippora), Sheila (Robert), Douglas (Nicole) and Beatrice; nieces, Sharnette, Kadeja, Deminka, Kiswana, Sayquana, Janiyah and Sanaa; nephews Bobby, Troy, Branden, Malcom, Omar, Josh, Raquan, Savion, Trevain, Kadeem and Naim; uncles Russell and Ralph Foster; aunt Barbara Foster; cousins Jane and William Brooks; best friends Samuel and Doris Fellenz, Mark Gray and Aaron K. Gray.

Anthony…. I already miss you and you have not been gone long don’t know what I’m going to do when you’ve been gone a while but I’ll always be thinking about you and all the fun we had as kids and growing up and still being friends and chatting with each other on Facebook I’m going to really miss you my brother tell everybody up there I said hi.
