Born and raised in East Orange, NJ, Richie graduated from East Orange High to then attended Howard University in Washington, DC.  There he earned his Bachelor of Science degree as well as his Masters degree in Pharmaceutical services.  He was also licensed by the state of New Jersey Board of Pharmacy.
