Julia Mae Marshall, age 61, was born on March 14, 1959 in Long Branch, NJ to her parents Minnie Marshall and the late Johnny Marshall.  On February 7, 2021, Julia was called home by the Lord.

Julia attended Long Branch High School, worked as a home health aide at a nursing home and was a lifelong resident of Long Branch.  She also attended Second Baptist Church and was baptized by Rev. CP Williams.  Julia later met and fell in love with her companion of 20 plus years, the late Jack "Edward" Stovall.  The two began a family and were blessed with four sons Jack Stovall Jr., Matthew Stovall, Mark Stovall and John Stovall.

Julia enjoyed spending time with family, walking (especially walking to check on her mother), talking with friends, reading, watching Law and Order and drinking coffee.  When Julia's boys were younger, she enjoyed watching them and their father fish and crab at the lake.  Those who knew Julia describe her as a kind-hearted family woman who loved to walk and was not afraid to speak her mind.  Her family saw her as a loud talker, a dedicated mother and a compassionate, selfless sister who had a big heart full of love.  She has left lasting memories with those who knew and loved her.  Julia was all about family, especially her children, who she would do anything for.  Her four sons describe her as a mother who was caring, loving, protective, resilient and outspoken in all the right ways.

Julia is predeceased by her life long companion Jack "Edward" Stovall, her father Johnny Marshall and her sisters Karen Marshall and Elanor Diana Cato.

Julia is survived by her mother Minnie Marshall of Valdosta, GA; her children Jack and Marsha Stovall (daughter-in-law) of Woodbridge, NJ; Mark Stovall and Jessica Murray (daughter-in-law) of Long Branch; John Stovall and Nancy Michel (daughter-in-law) of Long Branch and Matthew Stovall of Long Branch; her siblings Shirley and Jim Cofer (brother-in-law) of Red Bank, NJ, John and Melinda Marshall (sister-in-law) of Newark, DE and Kevin Marshall of Silver Spring, MD.  She was also blessed with four grandchildren Jayden, Jasiel, Jack III and Jayce.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Julia will also be remembered forever by her close friends Yvonne, Roslyn and Tasha.

Although she is no longer with us physically, all of the memories and laughs are embedded in our hearts forever.  She will be remembered forever and her family and friends will never cease cherishing her life.

Thank you for everything.
