Karl Johnson-1-22-2022

Karl Michael Johnson was born April 19, 1961, to loving parents Otha Johnson Sr. and Elizabeth Johnson gained his wings on December 31, 2021.  Karl was the cherished baby of the family and never let you forget that.

Karl was educated in the Lakewood School system.  After graduating from Lakewood High School, he went on to further his education at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.

Michael spent 30 years doing what he loved, serving others as a Waiter at The Pub in Camden, NJ.  He loved music and would often put on shows to showcase his passion for singing.  Karl was the family historian and often times could be found taking pictures to document family events.  His nieces and nephews were the apple of his eye.  He had a strong passion for writing and was a gifted poet.  Karl was loving, always smiling and his laughter was infectious.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Otha Johnson, Sr. and sister Ernestine Johnson.

Karl leaves unforgettable memories to be cherished by his loving mother Elizabeth Johnson, Lakewood, NJ; his loving siblings Otha Johnson, Jr., Manchester, NJ; Theresa Johnson and Sandra Johnson, Jackson, NJ; truly adored nieces and nephews Shontell White, Nickeya Gordon, Yahmal Johnson, Sr., Yashica Decker, Shakeema Martin, Ernest Campbell, Rachael Campbell, Kei-Onna Ventura, Lascell Campbell, Glen-Nyce Donaldson; beloved friends Caprice Emerson Benjamin, Marci Morris & Bruce Bryson and a host of grandnieces, nephews, family and friends all who will miss him dearly.
