Lahketa Bigelow, born on May 2, 1971, in Neptune, NJ, passed away on October 26, 2024, after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She spent most of her life in Long Branch, NJ, where she worked as a devoted homemaker.
Lahketa is survived by her loving mother, Sabrina “Beanie” Bigelow of Long Branch, NJ; her three children, Jevon Bigelow, Daneesha Cooper, and Kyla Gaskin, all of Long Branch, NJ; three brothers, Francis Johnson of Georgia, Tyrone “Troy” Bigelow of Long Branch, NJ, and Sultan Childs of Asbury Park, NJ; three sisters, Shani Bigelow of Long Branch, NJ, Natasha “Nay-Nay” Bigelow of Pennsylvania, and Tamiko Childs-Crocker of Neptune, NJ; eight grandchildren, Cartier, Jevaun, Jenisis, Jaevion, Kalanie, Messiah, Mal’akhi, and Sincere; three nieces, Desi, Shaniya, and Teairra; two nephews, Tykie and Tyshir; her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Wilson; her sister-in-law, Jenise Pitts; and a host of cousins and friends.
