Laura "Spunky" Coleman, 81 of Long Branch departed this life on June 12, 2021 at CareOne at King James in Atlantic Highlands surrounded by her family.

Born in Red Bank, NJ on October 12, 1939; she was a lifelong resident of the Shore area.  Prior to retirement Ms. Coleman was employed as a private duty Nurse/PCA. Laura was passionate towards everyone who entered her household from family, friends, to strangers.  She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners, spending time with family & caring for her grandkids!

When asked by her kids what they will miss the most about their mother, they said her love for and devotion to her family.

She was predeceased by her mother Edith Holmes; brothers John Holmes & Henry Morgan; sisters Dorothy Wilson, June Williams & Barbara Haymon.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: four sons George Davis, Clifford Johnson & William Coleman, Long Branch & Darryl Coleman, Tinton Falls; 2 daughters Edith Holmes, Vineland & Laura L. Coleman, Long Branch; 10 grandchildren Sharice Coleman, Rafiah Johnson, Clifford Johnson Jr., Ciara Coleman, Shateara Bland, Davon Jackson, Gregory Washington, Elijah Johnson, Chyna Johnson & Lorenza Calabretta; 3 great-grandchildren & a host of other family & friends.
