Leon Paul Roberts 81, of Asbury Park, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2019 at 1:20 pm. He was born on February 27, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York, where he attended the public school system. He joined the Air Force in 1958 and served his country. He traveled the world to places like Japan, Korea, Africa, Germany, UK, Cuba, Jamaica, Hawaii and back home to the States.

Leon "Baba Chino," played in several bands over the last several decades, from Chosen Minority Band, Jah Love and Survivors, Blue Gumbo, Jazz Lobsters and many more. He was not just a musician, but a singer filling the hearts and souls of those that heard and listened to them play.
Leon is predeceased by his father Louis Roberts, his Mother Helen Browne, his brothers Louis Jr. and Walter Roberts, his sisters Joanne Clarke and Jeannie Roberts, his wife Dor, wife Jacqueline Covin, his daughter Cheryl Roberts, his son Jeff Roberts and his son Tyrone D. Covin.

I would like to give special thanks to Dr. Abeer Griggs and the Coral Harbor Rehabilitation Health Center Staff for taking such wonderful and amazing care of him.
