Leviticus Gillispie aka “Levi” was born on January 2, 1954 to the late Lula Jane Caulder and Flager Gillispie.  Levi departed this life on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center Neptune, NJ.

He was born in Raeford, NC and educated in the Moore County schools in North Carolina. Levi first came to New Jersey in the summer of 1981 where he enjoyed talking mess, working with horses, and playing cards, but overall, Levi was the jack of all trades. He was very good with his hands because he was the only person to take a car apart piece by piece and could put it back together in the dark.

Levi is predeceased by his parents and nine siblings (four brothers and five sisters).

Levi leaves to cherish fond and loving memories his daughter Betty (Maurice); six grandchildren Tykirrah, Amayah, Maurice, Kareem, Mehki and Karter all of Brick, NJ; two sisters and three brothers; two special nieces Cindy D. Gillespie of New York and Veronica Gillispie of Clayton, NC; a special friend/brother Kevin Williams of Long Branch, NJ as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
