Linda Yvonne Hill was born October 23, 1956, to mother Doris Elaine Wesley and Father Leon Hill Sr. She attended Matawan public schools as a child and graduated Rainbow Beauty Academy of Perth Amboy in 1985. Linda held the title of Safety Supervisor at Gemtor Inc.
During her life Linda was known for her unique singing voice and her larger-than-life personality. Linda was a woman who told you what you needed to hear not what you wanted to hear. She was never one to bite her tongue. However, she was always the life of the party. She was a woman that would give you the shirt off her back and a roof over your head, if needed. Her generosity, kindred spirit, and her love for her family is one of a kind.
Linda is preceded in death by granddaughter Alssa Hill, siblings Deborah Laing, Renee Hill, Leon Hill, and Nicholle Hill Dorchy.
Linda is survived by loving husband Dana Holmes; six children Dana Hill, Diona Hill, Demond Hill, Davon Holmes, Yvonne Holmes, and Danielle Holmes; 15 grandchildren Deyanira Hill, Dana Hill, Dayon Hill, Dahimer Hill, Jorydon Hill, Kolin Hill, Kobe Hill, Brielle Hill, Saadaya Hill, Jeff Sheard, Terrell Cosby, Demond Hill Jr, Terrence Green, Jameen Holmes, and K’amir White and great granddaughter Kyia Walton; siblings Tiela Hill, Carolyn Hill, La Nina Hill Dorchy, Lance Hill Dorchy, Andrew Dorchy, and Alisha Patterson.
