Mark Allan Johnson was born on June 28, 1955 in Long Branch, NJ to the late Paul Holmes Sr. and Mary Rose Johnson. He entered eternal rest, Saturday the 21st of September 2019.
He was a lifelong resident of Long Branch. Mark attended Long Branch Public Schools, excelling in the sport of wrestling - he received many awards as well as a Varsity letter while on the wrestling team. He would often brag about his high school championship wrestling team and his martial arts skill. A carpenter by trade, Mark loved to sing (he loved listening to the popular music group "The Whispers"), dance and simply enjoy life - making a friend with anyone that came in contact with him.
He was predeceased by his parents Paul Holmes Sr. and Mary Rose Johnson, sister Pam Holmes, brothers Stephen Holmes, Damen Holmes and Paul Holmes Jr.
Mark is survived by his sons William Edwards (Kasey Edwards) of Neptune, NJ, Eric Collins of Brick, NJ and Daryl Brown of Long Branch, NJ; his daughters Jasmine McLennon (Concrad McLennon) of Keansburg, NJ, Deveana Mott of New Brunswick, NJ and Inaayah Brown of Red Bank, NJ; brothers and sisters Paulette Johnson, Eric "Ricky" Johnson, Gloria Thomas, Kathy Constantine, Michelle Johnson, Sharon Johnson, Jamie Johnson, Robert Bogan, Paula Holmes, Adrian "Ace" Holmes, Debbie Holmes, Stephanie Holmes and Dana Holmes; 15 grandchildren; aunt Barbara "Duke" Collins and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
