Michael E. Duncan was born on December 29, 1959 in Neptune, NJ to the late David Duncan (2006) and Mary Duncan. He departed this life on July 8 2019, in Atlanta, GA. At a young age, Michael was baptized by The Reverend Robert J. Perkins, attending Emmanuel Baptist Church and he participated in neighborhood activities headed by Camp Shiloh Ministry. Putting God first, Michael was a gifted basketball player and athlete, known all over Monmouth County for his outstanding athletic abilities and sportsmanship. He attended Swimming River School, Tinton Falls School and Monmouth Regional High School.
Michael leaves to mourn his loving mother, Mary Duncan, Red Bank, NJ; 1 brother David Daryl Duncan, Lake Worth Beach, FL; 3 sisters Maxine Thomas, Newington, CT, Dawn White, Freehold, NJ and Renee Person, Lakewood, NJ; 1 daughter Carla Duncan, Atlanta, GA; 2 sons Michael R. Duncan (wife Serina), Sandia Sahuarita, AZ and Michael Hayes, St. Paul, MN; 2 nieces, Stacey Thomas, West Haven, CT and Felicia Foster, Escondido, CA; 1 nephew Barry Thomas, Atlanta, GA; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 great-nieces; 3 great-nephews; caring friends---The Morris Family, Michelle and David Wilson and The Reverend Craig and Lynn Anne Bogard (Aslan Ministries) and a host of relatives and friends.
A donation to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Youth Ministry would be greatly appreciated in Michael's memory. Thank you.
It is with sadness to have learned of the passing of a friend, Michael Duncan Sr. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Memories are a threshold to forever; keep them close. Rest in peace dear friend. God speed.
