Michael Bruce Edmond was born at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ to Alfred Adam Edmond Sr. and Virginia E. Edmond (née Monroe) on May 31, 1961. He spent most of his life as a Long Branch resident. Michael passed away at Monmouth Medical Center on January 7, 2022.

Michael attended Gregory Elementary School, and would go on to graduate from Long Branch High School, where he played on both the baseball and soccer teams, in 1980.  Upon finishing high school, Michael was employed by Monmouth Race Track, Monmouth Medical Center, Witmer House Nursing Home and the Ocean Place Resort and Spa, before going on disability after being diagnosed with epilepsy. Michael was also an avid bowler, playing in several local leagues in Monmouth County, as well as a passionate builder and collector of model cars.  He was a diligent worker.  Michael was also a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees.

Michael was predeceased by his parents Alfred A. Edmond Sr. and Virginia E. Edmond, and his brother Norman Eugene Edmond.

Surviving to cherish Michael in spirit and in memory are his companion of 30 years Annette Fils, and her children Phyllis Oluyide and Aaron Fils, and nephew Alexander Mackason; brother Alfred A. Edmond Jr.; sisters Nancy M. Edmond and Wanda D. Edmond; nieces Faith Tyrell (Benny, deceased), Angela Edmond, Thomasina Goff (Sidney), Tiffany Edmond, Mo Brown Edmond Lazarre (Ronald), Christine Lorraine Edmond, and Allyson Elaine Watkins; nephew David Adam Robeson Edmond (Danielle), and many other relatives and friends.
