SERVICE DETAILS
Pencilee Jackson affectionately known as Pen "Pop Pop," was born on November 8, 1917 to the late Ida Motley and Jessie Jackson in Queensland, Georgia. He departed this life early Friday morning September 11, 2020. He attended the Englishtown school system.
Pencilee met and married Evelina Fludd in 1947 and from this union were 8 children. He was a member of Community Church of Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Clark. He also was a member of The Masonic Order FM & AM Butler 42. He worked at Anaconda Copper works in Perth Amboy, NJ until his retirement in 1975.
He enjoyed life, loved barbecuing and loved when the neighborhood children would come over for a hot dog or two. He was a calm and friendly man who loved all who met him. He would do anything to assist someone in need. A great among men with a heart of gold. He was Pop Pop to everyone in the community.
Pencilee was predeceased by his wife Evelina, his parents Ida Mowry Jackson and Jessie Jackson, 5 children James Anderson, Carl Jackson, Steven Jackson, Beverly Jackson and Connie Jackson, 5 brothers John Jackson, Napolian Jackson, Al Jackson, Oscar Jackson and Dave Jackson, 1 sister Jesse Jackson and a daughter-in-law Lou Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memories 3 sons John Jackson, Anthony Jackson (Joyce) both of Cliffwood and Theodore English of Jersey City; a daughter-in-law Mattie Anderson; granddaughter/caregiver Evalina Louis Jackson, 11 other grandchildren and a host of great-grands, and great-great grands as well as other relatives and friends.
