Rakin A. Locust, "Rocky," 36 of Long Branch passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Rakin was a Muslim brother named Abdul Rahman. He was a loving and giving person who loved to sing. He was a comedian who loved to make jokes and make people laugh. He went to culinary school and loved to cook and show off his skills. He always needed to be the center of attention and was very competitive. His favorite sayings were "my point exactly," and "absolutely."
He is survived by brothers William Locust, Jamal Davis, Nija Faust and Tory Locust; parents William Locust and Gloria R. Locust; grandmother on mother side Pressilla Reevey; children Rocky Locust Jr., Ava Locust and Nicole Locust.
So very sorry for your loss. I am a nurse at Monmouth Medical and took care of Rocky. He was a kind soul and liked to joke and laugh when he was feeling well. My deepest condolences to the family
