OBITUARY
SERVICE DETAILS
Rasheedah Sabree, affectionately known as "Nette," was born on January 9, 1947, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Mary Bell and James Buster. She was one of five children, growing up alongside her two brothers, Patrick, and Ronald, and her two sisters, Dorothy Jean and Evelyn.
Rasheedah was raised with strong family values and a deep commitment to education. She spent her formative years in Newark, New Jersey, where she graduated from Barringer High School. It was there that she met the love of her life, Ronald Allen Smith. They married and welcomed their first daughter, Dawn, followed by a son, Ronald. The young family eventually relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, where they were blessed with their third child, Ayesha.
After some years, the family moved back to New Jersey, settling in Neptune. Rasheedah pursued further education, earning an administrative certification, and held various positions in this field. Her career culminated in her retirement as an administrative assistant from Fort Monmouth after many years of dedicated service.
Rasheedah's life was a testament to her deep faith and love for the Lord. She found immense joy in knowing that her children also embraced their faith. Rasheedah had a profound compassion for helping others and was always eager to share her beliefs. Her passions included interior decorating, horticulture, arts and crafts, and traveling, with a special fondness for the serenity of the ocean.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald A. Smith, Sr., her parents, James Buster and Mary Bell Davis, her brothers, Patrick and Ronald, her sister, Evelyn, and her grandson, Jarrett.
Rasheedah leaves behind a loving family, including her three children Dawn Jeffries (Scott), Ronald A. Smith, Jr. (Claudene), and Ayesha Harrell (Richard); her sister, Jean Edwards; grandchildren Ronnie (Valeria), Sylvani, D’naja, Gabby, Nia, Christian, Rachelle, and Carter; great-granddaughters Giselle, Brooklyn, and Sevyn; great-grandsons Jha’Mari, Jha’son, De’jour, Jae’ceon, and Jai’Sir; and a host of cherished nieces and nephews.
I love you, Ms. Rasheedah. May you Rest In Paradise. Love Always, Yolanda
