Raymond Pridgen Sr., “Noonie,” son of the late Clarence Henry Pridgen and Earden Alice Pridgen, was born November 11, 1943, in Nash County, North Carolina.  He departed this life surrounded by his loving children on, Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

He was employed by Aquaviva RGC Construction for 30 years until his retirement.   He took great pride in working hard and instilled the same value in his children.  When not enjoying his favorite pastimes fishing and visiting the racetrack, he could be found on “his” grill and spending time with his kids and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter Melissa Pridgen, twin sister Raymiller Garcia, brother Clarence “Buck” Pridgen Jr., niece Arlene Garcia and brother-in-law, Ernest Bost.

He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Gail Russell, Tanya Pridgen, and Pamela Pridgen; two sons, Alonzo Pridgen, and Raymond Pridgen Jr., son-in-law Cory Dill; seven grandchildren, Rayonna, Alissa, Alonzo Jr., Nazjier, Kyle, Kya, and Kenyon; three great grandchildren; a sister Phyllis Bost; special niece, Chico Johnson and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Rest well dad until we see you again.  We promise to stay close and make you proud.
