Ruby Elizabeth Bell, daughter and one of 14 siblings, to the late Pearl Ambush and Percy Bell Sr. was born on January 17, 1941, in Long Branch, New Jersey and entered eternal rest on May 29, 2022, in Augusta, Georgia.

Ruby spent her childhood years in Neptune, New Jersey, and eventually moved to Long Branch, New Jersey to raise her family. As a young adult and Christian, Ruby sang and played the piano (self and formally taught) with the Neptune Crusaders. Later, Ruby worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide for many years with Family and Children's Service of Long Branch, New Jersey. She also worked as cook at the Old Country Buffet in Eatontown before retiring in 2009.

Ruby was a woman of many talents. She enjoyed sewing and doing arts and crafts with her daughters and nieces. Ultimately, cooking with "Love" was what she was passionate about doing with family, especially during holidays and special occasions.

Ruby loved to travel for family gatherings and found excitement in shopping for gifts, cards, or anything special for her dearest family and friends. She was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Her Greatest Love was her 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren who called her "Mom-Mom!" Quality time and memories were priceless to her, and she made sure to give her loved ones their flowers daily.

Ruby was preceded in death by her daughter; Bernadette Lynn Bell, her brothers; Percy, Willie, Stevie, Howard and Edward and her sisters; Gloria, Helen and Delores.

Ruby leaves to mourn her; son Joesph Jackson (& Gail), Jacksonville, Florida, and her daughters, Uvette Dowdell (& Eddie), Hephzibah, Ga., Lisa Bell, Long Branch, NJ, 3 Granddaughters, 7 Grandsons and 16 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jimmy Bell (& Gloria), Florida, sisters; Pearl Bell, Long Branch, NJ,  Sina Porter (& Lamar), Red Bank, NJ, and Sister-in-Law Betty Wedner (& Ernest), Long Branch, NJ, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.
