OBITUARY
SERVICE DETAILS
Trevor Hewitt was born on June 16, 1964, at Kingston Jubilee Hospital in Kingston Jamaica, WI to Edna Davis Richards and Wesley Hewitt.
Trevor was brought up in the small community of Down Castle in St. Andrews Jamaica, WI. During Trevor's school years, he attended City Mission Private School and Lawrence Tavern Primary School in St. Andrews, Jamaica. Trevor developed the love of fixing appliances and took up the trade of refrigeration technician. He always had his tools ready to help anyone he could assist.
As a young adult, over the years, Trevor would travel back and forth between Jamaica and New York before settling with his brother (Owen Richards), in Neptune, NJ in 2022. He loved reading his bible and spending time with his family. He was not a man of many words, but he made friends easily along his path in life. No matter who he encountered, after a short while they were known to him as brother or sister. He was a loving and caring man and would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need.
Trevor was employed as a housekeeper with Jersey Shore University Medical Center for nearly a year before he took sick. On Monday June 10, 2024, Trevor went to work and his illness became more severe. He was admitted into the hospital and on Friday, June 14, 2024, he made his heavenly transition. May his soul rest in peace.
Trevor is predeceased by his parents, mother Edna Davis Richards, father Wesley Hewitt, his sisters Michelle Richards and Marjorie Hewitt and his brother Clifton Hewitt.
Left to mourn his passing is his only son, Thomas Hewitt of Temple Hall, St. Andrews Jamaica, WI; siblings Egbert Hewitt, Renaldo Richards, Kemar Richards, Curtis Richards and Headly Richards, Rosemarie Howell, Maxine Richards, Sheryl Thaw, Safia Hewitt all from Jamaica, WI; Howard Richards, Marlene Reed and Ravene Richards of the UK, Owen Richards and Wayne Richards, Neptune, NJ; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Trevor (Mousie) I will miss your quiet and calm disposition that endeared you to everyone you met. To Thomas I pray God’s comfort for you and the rest of the family. Rest in Peace Trevor and may your spirit soar with the angels and light perpetual shine on you.
rest in Peace Brother. Although I only known you for just over a year, I am blessed to have that time. I enjoyed hearing your gospel music and seeing you sitting at the kitchen table by the window. I am going to miss your presence in the house. Thank you for all your help. Many blessings to Owen, family, and friends.
