William Andrew Johnson passed away on February 3, 2022 at Gateway Care Center in Eatontown, NJ. He was born on February 2, 1942, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ to the late Andrew Nells and Willie Mae Everett. William affectionately known as "Bill," spent most of his life as a Long Branch resident.
William attended the Long Branch school system where he graduated from Long Branch High School in 1961. Upon graduation he attended Brookdale Community College. After finishing college he was employed at Long Branch Public Works, Monmouth Medical Center and Jersey Central Power & Light where he retired. William spent his leisure time enjoying singing with the Monerays and playing tennis.
Surviving to cherish William in spirit are Felicia, Shereese, Kiesha, Kevin, Terraine, Savoi and Rashod; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother Terry Johnson; sister Diane Walker and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
